General Purpose:

To create a technological and scientific basis, together with intellectual capital, in order to develop and use the appropriate technology for the discovery of strategically useful knowledge in organizations of the Latin American region.

Specific Objectives:

1. To disseminate the knowledge that the network groups and other groups in Latin American area have on Knowledge Discovery.
2. To collect experiences from other regions academic knowledge and scientific expertise in the area of Knowledge Discovery.
3. To develop and promote programs and projects scientific and academic on Knowledge Discovery in the Iberoamerican region.
4. To promote and coordinate efforts for the development of policy spaces axiomatically founded for the creation and operation of application ontologies and methodologies based on them.
5. To promote and coordinate efforts for the development and modification of methods and search algorithms for different problems of knowledge discovery capability to exploit ontologies based on standards and methodologies developed.
6. To promote and coordinate efforts for the development of application ontologies referring to most important categories of management, related to strategic performance of organizations.
7. To promote and coordinate efforts to design, develop and use computer systems aimed at discovering strategically useful knowledge in Latin American organizations based on the policy space and methodologies developed, and the ability to integrate with existing computer systems in organizations.
8. To develop case studies on the use of methodologies, algorithms and systems elaborated in organizations of the Latin American region and disseminate in scientific areas, academics as well as businesses and other organizations in the region.
